While the financial industry still accounts for the largest sector in the region, other industries include: high-tech, telecom, insurance, bio-tech, biochemical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive, energy, transportation, and oil refining. In recent years the city has seen expansive growth in the services sectors of retail, food services, and health care and is a top national area for health and science-related research activity. Tourism is also an active sector attracting large numbers of tourists who come to see the city’s historical centers, with the Liberty Bell alone attracting a whopping 2M tourists in 2010.
